Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ

God knows us so well, doesn’t He? He knows we:

• Lose focus easily.
• Are easily distracted.
• Get off track frequently.
• Dwell on things that are distressing.
• Become caught up in the temporal.
• Stay too self-centered.

Maybe that’s why He had Moses write in Deut. 6:8, “And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes,” to help us counter all of the things we are so prone to. Through this verse He encourages us to wear reminders, called phylacteries during Old Testament times, of just who He is, how powerful He is, and our relationship with Him.
